WELCOME to the PAQUACHUCK
THIS LANDMARK BUILDING rising above Westport’s sheltered harbor, marks the confluence of the Nocquachoke and Acoxsett Rivers. The Paquachuck has dominated the landscape of the village of Westport Point for almost 200 years, a stately reminder of those who have made and lost their lives on the water. This four storey building is hand hewn from heavy timbers and built like a ship; pegged, worn smooth and salted by sand and wind.
ORIGINAL WHALE OIL LAMPS, harpoons and whale bones share space in our lobby and intimate B&B. The Pauqachuck is open year round, with facilities for weddings and receptions of up to 100 people, lectures, corporate or private meetings and gatherings with seating up tp 30 in our events room. Every room boasts a water view. For your full breakfast choose our intimate studio or our waterfront patio. View the sunset from our railed porch.
OUR PRIVATE DOCK offers access to Westport Harbor. We’re right on some of the best striper and clam fields in the country! You can fish off our dock, launch a kayak or hit the saltwater for bass or bluefish. See our boating/fishing information. Bicycling is a well enjoyed sport here.
WE ARE AN HOUR FROM BOSTON, half that from Providence, easy drive from Newport RI, New Bedford and Fall River lie to our left and right. Horseneck Beach with miles of dunes, is a few minutes away from our door. You can’t miss us! We are at the end of the road right on Westport Point.
