Recreation!
     We are five minutes from Horseneck Beach.  Great swimming, boating of all kinds, bicycling, hiking and kayaking.  There are miles of scenic country roads.
If you like fishing, we're right on some of the best striper and clam fields in the country! You can fish off our private dock or borrow our boat (if you don't bring your own!) and hit the saltwater for bass or bluefish. One of our guests regularly heads home with dozens of stripers!
Didn't bring your bicycle, no problem! Rent a bike at Village Bicycle!

Food & Spirits!
The Back Eddy - specializes in seafood with a twist, featuring fresh local ingredients. Everything from burgers to lobsters!    

  Westport River Winery offers tours and tasting. Ethnic and local cuisines are great and fun, local farms offer fresh produce, while our fleet brings home the sea's bounty.

History (or, What if it rains?)
     New Bedford's acclaimed Whaling Museum is a fascinating place for young and old alike.  Fall River's Marine Museum and Battleship Cove offer a more recent look at life on the sea.  And don't forget Lizzie Borden's axe - it's at the Fall River Historical Society!

Shopping
     Area outlets offer great shopping, everything from chocolates to chapeaus.  Local gift and antique shops provide wares for both the curious browser and the serious collector.
